Nielsen Research for Summerfruit NZ
Summerfruit NZ want to monitor the performance of summerfruit in New Zealand and understand changes in purchase dynamics within the market, shopper and product base. This information will be used to identify growth opportunities for summerfruit and provide direction to the industry.
The majority of Summerfruit NZ's research needs can be met by Nielsen Homescan, a 2,500 strong household consumer panel, demographically and regionally representative of the New Zealand population. Homescan is unique, providing a continuous measure of shoppers actual purchasing for all household grocery products taken into the home, including loose and bar-coded fresh produce. Changes in shopper purchase behaviour can be tracked over time and compared to other markets to help identify opportunities.
As well as the Homescan research Summerfruit NZ have commissioned other research from Nielsen over the years to assist with a greater understanding of the New Zealand Market.
