If you make or sell food, your business may need to apply for Food Act registration by 30 November 2018. Members of recognised quality assurance programmes such as NZGAP, GlobalGAP and BRC, should check with their organisations to see they are registered as New Zealand Food Safety has been working to facilitate registration directly with those organisations.
But if you aren't registered with a recognised quality assurance programme who is looking after Food Act registration for you, find out what you need to do at www.mpi.govt.nz/food-act-2014/
