Ronald Vermeulen is a private consultant from The Netherlands who consults internationally on cherries, working frequently in Argentina and Chile. While in New Zealand he is visiting Michael Jones in Cromwell, and Michael kindly suggested that Ronald speak to cherry growers at a SummerGreen meeting.
We have arranged for Ronald to make a presentation called Modern cherry production in high density plantings with a focus on fruit quality on Wednesday 24 October from 2pm to 5pm at the Plant & Food Research Centre, Clyde.
Ronald will speak on:
- high density plantings and rootstocks
- nutrition and irrigation management
- varieties and pollination
- export fruit quality targets
- tree training management.
