Jerf van Beek from HortNZ ran some Employment Agreement Workshops in Central a couple of years ago.
There have been recent law changes affecting employment agreements including:
- Minimum Rate Increases
- Domestic Violence Victims Protection Act (Leave)
- New rest break rules
- Trail period changes
- Possible changes to work travel time calculations
Jerf will be in Central Otago in late October to run two workshops hosted by the Central Otago Fruitgrowers Association, to go over these recent changes in employment legislation.
