Now that Bernie Attfield is no longer the South Island SummerGreen Facilitator (as advised last month) she will not be sending any communications regarding application timing for sprays and monitoring for pests and diseases.
National SummerGreen Coordinator, Richard Mills, recommends seeking specialised technical advice from your spray representatives, inspecting your trees closely and consulting last season's spray diary to help decide what is appropriate and when the best time to apply is for you.
There is good information in the SummerGreen manual on the portal, but do cross-reference it with the latest information from the reps. The weather tools section of the portal also has good and relevant information as to what is expected.
