The Government has put in place a range of measures to support businesses, employers and employees impacted by Covid-19. These include the Covid-19 Support Payment to help businesses struggling financially during the Omicron outbreak, a Short Term Absence Payment and the Leave Support Scheme.
Applications for the Covid-19 Support Payment close on 4 April for businesses that have experience a drop in income of more than 40% because of Covid.
Please note that the Leave Support Scheme is there to help businesses to pay employees who are required to self-isolate and cannot work from home – regardless of whether or not they are sick themselves.
