Join us for the first of the winter lunch and learn webinars, which will be held every Thursday from 12.30pm.
Click here to join the first webinar.
Our first webinar will cover the fruit quality monitoring project conducted this year by Mark Loefen of Delytics.
This webinar will dive into the pilot retail maturity monitoring programme conducted during the 2025-26 season. The programme focused on cherries, apricots and yellow‑fleshed nectarines and was designed to provide season‑on‑season visibility of fruit maturity at, or near, retail.
We will discuss this in the context of other maturity monitoring programmes that Delytics has undertaken in New Zealand and Australia, with a focus on consumer repeat purchase behaviour.
Mark has worked with quality standards and monitoring of fresh produce for many years. He headed up the New Zealand Naval Orange quality programme, which has been running for more than a decade and has lifted quality, consumer acceptance, and sales through industry-agreed quality standards.
Please join us on your lunch break and hear about some of the research that Summerfruit NZ has supported. Input and questions are welcomed as part of these webinars.
