Only three weeks to go until entries close for the Hawke’s Bay Young Fruit Grower of the Year Competition!
Future young Hawke’s Bay summerfruit leaders are encouraged to enter the 2021 Hawke’s Bay competition. The event, run by the Hawke’s Bay Fruitgrowers’ Association, will be held on 3 and 4 June at the Showgrounds Hawke’s Bay, in conjunction with the National Horticulture Fieldays.
Contestants will be put through their paces with a range of practical and theory-related horticultural activities.
The application form can be downloaded or completed online here – visit the HBFA website for more information and note that entries close at 5pm, on 30 April.
The Awards Dinner will be held on 4 June at the Toitoi Arts and Events Centre, Hastings. During the dinner the contestants will carry out the final component of the competition – a speech contest, with the competition section winners and overall winner announced.
