Congratulations goes to Michael Hutton who has been awarded the Plant & Food Research/ Summerfruit NZ Student Scholarship for 2019-20. Michael will work in Jill Stanley’s team at the research orchard in Clyde for 12 weeks. He will focus on providing new information on the light relations within the new cherry planar canopy systems and how this affects fruit quality. Michael has just completed a BSc at Canterbury University and will return next year to start his MSc.
