Japan's MAFF has not yet confirmed whether a Japanese inspector will be coming to New Zealand under the current Covid-19 environment or not. However, we have received confirmation from MPI that access to this market remains unchanged under this programme as it is not dependent on the visit of the Japanese officials.
MPI have also informed us that there is the possibility that MAFF may require extra information in case the inspector does not visit New Zealand, but the extent of this information is yet to be determined. As soon as we receive any information we will send an update.
