Summerfruit NZ is arranging a series of orchard visits by Ronald Vermeulen, followed by a presentation and some social time. Ronald will present a ‘compare and contrast’ of different stonefruit and cherry growing regions around the world. He is a technical horticultural consultant, based in the Netherlands, and he has worked in many places around the world.

Tuesday 16 August in Hawkes Bay
Friday 19 August in Blenheim
Monday 22 or Friday 26 August in Central Otago (TBC)
Ronald last spoke to the New Zealand summerfruit industry in October 2018. That presentation covered aspects such as training systems, tree health and nutrition, pollination, varieties, rootstocks and pruning.
